Framed kitchen cabinets have 2 types. One is face frame or known as American style cabinets. The cabinet face is framed while door panel sit in front of the frame, it creates a clean border ranging up to 1-2 inches around the front of each cabinet door. The other one is built in frame or known as UK style cabinets, the door panel is complete built-in the frame and flat with frame. It is more elegant and looks valued.

Both American style and UK style are made of solid wood material and can have all the features of solid wood style, it is actually an upgrade based on normal solid wood cabinets.
